FAQ

Questions

What must I do to apply?

It is easy and you are always welcome! Visit any of our offices. Applications are generally accepted between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please confirm the specific hours of operation for the Infinity staffing center that you intend to visit. Federal law requires that all employees provide identification to verify their right to work in the U.S. or their U.S. Citizenship. These id documents are typically taken at the time of application so please be prepared.

Will you have a job for me when I apply?

Our goal is to provide an interview and general orientation to each applicant at the time that they first visit our offices. Ordinarily, applicants are not sent to an assignment immediately as our clients’ needs are not perfectly timed to the arrival of our many candidates for employment. Assignments are awarded to the most available and qualified applicants as we match those with the very best work histories, attitudes, and skill to our clients’ various labor needs.

Do you work for me?

No. We match the client's job order with available candidates whose skills, experience and current availability match. All fees to Infinity Resources, Inc. are paid by the employer client.

Do you only have temporary jobs?

No. Some assignments are designed to assist clients for a special short term project or just a day or two of work but many of our client employers use our temporary staff members as ‘Try-Before-They-Hire’ prospects. Our best staff members understand that they are interviewing for a position on our client’s direct payroll as they strive to do their best work every day.

Do you ever directly place candidates?

Yes! Depending upon the nature and complexity of the assignment and the client’s wishes, Infinity can place a candidate directly onto our client’s payroll without our referred employee ever touching down on the Infinity temporary payroll. Historically, clients seeking very highly skilled staff members who are more highly compensated opt for the direct hire option.

When is payday?

Infinity Staff are paid weekly in most cases. Those few who are not are paid bi-weekly at the request of our clients and to align temporary staff pay with their company’s pay schedule. Infinity processes weekly time cards on Monday and Tuesday and distributes payroll checks on Wednesday and Thursday each week. Please confirm the exact pay schedule with your Staffing Center Manager. Our goal is to provide timely and correct pay to each of our hard working staff members.

What is the benefit of a temporary or temporary-to-hire placement?

Working with Infinity is the best of both worlds. Our employees like it because if they do not like an assignment, they can make arrangements to move to another assignment. Likewise, our employer clients like it because they can audition the new employee prior to making the commitment to long term, direct employment.

Is Infinity Resources a drug-free workplace?

Absolutely. Our Drug and Alcohol Policy is available to each applicant and employee and is a zero tolerance policy. Safety and productivity demand that each of our staff members attends work with a clear head and sharp senses. Infinity Staff can expect to be tested prior to assignment, at the time of a work injury, for cause, and on a random basis.

How many days of work may I miss?

Infinity discourages absences for any reason. Our clients have planned production schedules and work tasks around your attendance. Absence is costly to your pocket, to Infinity, and especially to our clients. Should an emergency require you to take a day off, you must notify your Infinity Staff Coordinator and the client supervisor as far in advance of the need to be absent as possible. Infinity cannot accept a “No-Call, No-show” absence.

Do you pay me for holidays?

Yes! Infinity offers a bonus program that will provide pay coinciding with several holidays and vacation. Staff members who achieve 1,500 hours without a significant break in employment are entitled to pay for six major holidays and a one week vacation. 1,500 hours is approximately 9 month’s work at forty hours each week. Holidays include Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.

What if I work on a holiday?

Infrequently, our clients schedule work on a holiday. Infinity encourages our clients who work on holidays to offer the incentive of additional pay to our staff who agree to work a holiday. If you sign up for holiday work, we expect you to keep your commitment.

Will I qualify for vacation?

Yes! If you are still on Infinity Resources' payroll after 1500 hours worked (about 9 months), employees will receive one week's average pay. Depending on the employer's workload, time off may or may not be granted. Other available benefit information is available in our offices.

Do you have part-time jobs?

Occasionally, Yes. Our clients sometimes have part time needs. Often, candidates who already have a full time job elsewhere enjoy the opportunity to earn extra money at a part time assignment.

What should I do if I have a problem on the job?

Infinity’s goal is to provide a positive and profitable work experience for each candidate who accepts work with one of our clients. When this goal is not achieved, we wish to know. What should I do if I am injured?

If you should suffer a work injury, you are required to immediately make this known to your Infinity Staff Coordinator or Manager. You will be directed immediately to appropriate treatment and post-accident drug and alcohol testing will be scheduled in conjunction with your treatment. As you recover, Infinity will work to assist you in returning to your pre-injury assignment and / or develop light work opportunities for you. Please do not delay in reporting an injury as any delays may needlessly complicate or jeopardize your prompt medical treatment and the acceptance of your claim by Infinity’s insurance carriers.

What if I do not want to report an injury?

Occasionally, an injured worker may not wish to make a formal injury report. It is always your right to report an injury and we are ready to assist you in access to the worker’s compensation system. Should you not wish to formally report an injury or have been treated effectively with first aid for a minor injury while on the job site, you may complete an Incident Report to memorialize the event for our records. Infinity will acknowledge the event in writing and confirm that you are not seeking access to worker’s compensation benefits.
